Drinking regularly is important for your cat's health as it helps ensure proper kidney function and prevents crystal formation that can lead to urinary tract disease. Unlike bowls, the Catit Flower Fountain pushes only filtered, running water to the surface. This prevents your cat from having access to dirty water.
The BPA-Free plastic reservoir has a 3L capacity and includes 1 x Catit Triple Action Filter (replacement filters sold separately). Since cats are picky drinkers, Catit developed the fountain to feature 3 different settings: a gentle water flow, a bubbling top, or calm streams. The handy water level indicator window with LED nightlight lights up through the night for your cat.
The Catit Triple Action Filter removes the magnesium and calcium from the water. These minerals can accumulate in your pet's lower urinary tract and lead to urinary diseases, which is a common health issue for cats. Active carbon in the filter removes odours and impurities and retains stray hairs, sediment and debris.
